PASTRY CHEF

This is an excellent opportunity to share and develop your skills and learn from our talented senior chefs. You will be highly creative. Key responsibilities include:
– Production of fresh seasonal a la carte desserts, afternoon teas and banqueting and pastries.
– Working on menu development.
– Assisting with ordering and controlling of stock.
– Adhering to hygiene and health and safety requirements.

The ideal candidate will be confident with running the pastry section have a NVQ Level 2 and 3 or similar and previous experience in fine dining establishments.

£23,000 dependant on experience + approximately £1,500 in gratuities per annum.

WAITER

We are looking for smart, fast paced individuals who want to gain experience in one of the county’s favourite restaurants. We will teach you all aspects of great table management and train you in wine and coffee service. A positive attitude, smart appearance and a good command of English are all a must for this crucial front of house role.

MAINTENANCE MANAGER

We are looking for a full time Maintenance Manager to join our team. Situated on the edge of Dartmoor, we are an award winning (Country House Hotel of the Year 2016) 18 room hotel and restaurant.

As Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all hotel areas and equipment as well as leading and managing outside contractors. You will be required to review, evaluate and take action so that the hotel achieves its safety and maintenance standards and costs targets.

You will also manage and deliver on-going refurbishment in liaison with the General Manager and Head Housekeeper.

Previous experience as a hotel maintenance manager is preferred, but at least 2 years relevant experience is required.

£22K dependant on experience + approximately £1,500 in gratuities per annum.
