Necessary measures to keep everyone safe

We would like to give you some further information on the precautions we are taking to look after you and our staff.

We have looked at all our procedures from the time of your arrival to the moment of your departure, and we have adapted many aspects of our normal routines.

All staff will be wearing masks. Porters will be equipped with UV wands to disinfect all luggage. Rooms will be meticulously cleaned as usual, and will be sanitised prior to arrival as an extra procedure so that you can feel completely reassured.

Government restrictions require last orders at 10pm. The restaurant area must close at 11pm. A face covering must be worn within all indoor public areas.

There will be two teams of three chefs in the kitchen at a time, so that they can keep the suggested 2 metre distance. We have reduced the number of tables in our restaurant to maximise space between diners, and menus will be in your rooms to preorder all meals in order to minimise close contact between guests and waiting staff. Waiters will be wearing white cotton gloves to bring your food and drinks to the table, and we are using as few serving staff as possible while still maintaining a very good level of service.

All our staff are undergoing thorough health and safety training to ensure they understand and comply with all the new requirements.

We will contact you prior to arrival with full details of your reservation and arrival process.

The most important thing, however, is that we still have our lovely views, our pretty, comfortable rooms and a wonderful team of staff who are dedicated to ensuring that you have a relaxing and happy stay with us.

Very best wishes and thank you all for your support.

PS Please make sure you book any attractions, National Trust properties, the Eden Project and all restaurants before you come, if possible, as they are only accepting limited prior bookings.
