Commis Chef

We are looking for a Commis chef to join our kitchen team. You may have recently completed formal culinary training or still be undergoing training. This is an excellent opportunity to share and develop your skills and learn from our talented senior chefs.

The Role

-Set up station according to kitchen guidelines.
-Prepares all food items as directed in a timely manner.
-Follow recipes, portion control and presentation specifications as set by the Head chef.
-Restock all items as needed.
-Clean and maintain workstation.
-Know how to properly use and maintain all equipment in your station.
-Assist with the cleaning, sanitation and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers and storage areas.
-Perform additional responsibilities as requested by the Head chef and Sous chef.

Required Skills

-Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.
-Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
-Ability to take direction.
-Ability to work in a team environment.
-Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
-Commitment to quality service and food and beverage knowledge.
-Good English language skills are required.
